Petals - Artistry by Kimberly

Painting has not always been a part of my life, although now I wouldn't know what to do with out it. My first taste of art was as a sophomore in high school; merely as a way of getting out of taking a foreign language. My teacher, Mr. Okumura, saw something in my projects and took me under his wing. I was then sent with the advanced art students to work with charcoals and pastels. By the end of that school year i had painted a mural in the science building.
After a few years of painting only in class I started working on my art at home and realized the freedom and peace it gave me. It became my therapy as I released all of my emotions on canvas.
Over the last few years I have worked on multiple commissioned paintings as well as being given a spot in the Orange County Fair in Southern California to show one of my pieces.
When I was younger it seemed as though I could only produce when I was angry or had my heart broken. The past few years of my life have left me little to want and the happiness that has made my creative flow constant and greater than I had ever imagined.
Please contact me if you are interested in any current or commissioned work. All pricing is based on size and intricacy.
